Our Services

Oral Medicine is a specialist branch of dentistry, focusing on the diagnosis and predominantly non-surgical management of diseases and conditions which arise on the oral mucosa.

An oral medicine specialist manages a wide range of oral mucosal abnormalities including ulcers, growths, disorders of the salivary glands and orofacial pain, including dysaesthesias.

Many systemic conditions may also present in the oral cavity and be managed by an Oral Medicine specialist including the oral manifestations of dermatological, haematological and gastrointestinal conditions.

Oral mucosal surveillance and monitoring is carried out in conditions and disorders where there may be a raised risk for oral cancer.
